The zoo attracts more than 100 000 domestic and international visitors every year. The investment is expected to more than double the turnover of the area.

The south-eastern home village area offers an excellent site for two smaller or one larger accommodation business. The site allows for the creation of a visitor destination offering a true nature experience in privacy, but within walking distance of the tourist centre.

The 94 000 sq m site has a building capacity of 4000 sq m. Municipal services and fibre optics are in the immediate vicinity and the road runs next to the plot. The master plan provides for accommodation capacity for 200 beds, two buildings with restaurant, reception and service facilities and a reindeer enclosure within the site.

The municipality of Ranua will build the area's trails and common structures in the coming years, as investment in accommodation and related services in the area takes off. The area offers excellent opportunities for growth for hotel operators, real estate investors, holiday villages, programme service companies, restaurants, speciality retailers and equipment rental companies. 

The area already has excellent visibility and accessibility, so the conditions for growth are excellent.
