Join this event to learn about communication strategies that are crucial for your tourism business’s reputation, as well as how to create a communication plan based on your own risk assessment.

  • Mitigating Reputational Risks Through Responsible Communication / Communications Specialist

Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.  

There is a fee for participants; the location will be announced later 

Workshop: “What If?” 12:15–2:00 p.m. 

Develop a risk map and communication plan for companies from the perspective of corporate responsibility and reputation.

The workshop will cover topics such as:  

  • What topics might draw criticism from customers?  

  • nature, animals, local community

  • treatment of employees

  • cultural performance

  • seasonal workload

  • In what kind of situation could one's reputation suffer?

  • What do we react to immediately, and what don't we?

Companies need to have plans in place to respond to various situations through communication:  

  • Description of the risk situation

  • How to communicate

  • Who is in charge of communications?

Project info
The full name of the project is “Enhancing Risk Management and Resilience in Lapland’s Tourism Businesses as Part of Strategic Management 2024–2026” (Matrix 2). The project is funded by the Regional Council of Lapland through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and runs from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2026. The total budget is €292,515, of which €230,008 is EU funding.
