SMEs in Lapland in the extractive industry – workshop

The workshop is a three-hour attendance event where SMEs and RDI actors come together to assess the capabilities of SMEs and identify concrete development paths. Let's work together to develop preliminary measures that Lapland Mining Hub can use to support the growth and competitiveness of SMEs.

The event will be facilitated by Julius Oförsagd, Design Director and Business Developer at Arctic Factory. The workshop is part of the Lapland Mining Hub project administered by the Regional Council of Lapland.

PROGRAM

12:00 Opening and orientation

Arctic Factory presents results on companies' RDI capabilities, financing opportunities, and the potential of the extractive industry value chain.

12:15 Small group work: strengths and challenges

The groups review the identified strengths, weaknesses, and areas for development of SMEs and supplement the descriptions.

13.05 Break

13:15 Small group work: sketching development paths

The groups define concrete measures to strengthen their ability to operate as part of the extractive industry value chain.

14:00 Joint summary and validation

The groups present their development paths and discuss common priorities.

14:45 Decision and next steps
